I am an outdoor photographer inspired by scenes of nature from around the world and around the corner. Much of my work grew from volunteer involvements with water and land conservation. Over the past 25 years my work has been shown in San Francisco, New York, Washington DC, various galleries and venues in Pennsylvania, and published in magazines and journals. My intent has been to show the great variety and ever changing moods and beauty of nature and our surroundings, with the hope that others will agree with the need to protect and preserve it. If people appear in my photos, it’s usually to give perspective to our place within our surroundings. I am also a musician, playing fun-filled, foot-stomping Appalachian old-time fiddle with local musicians around the area and on tour. These endeavors have served to balance a career in biomedical research.
